2/24, Festival Kickoff

Every year the Lions host a kickoff event to honor the hard work their volunteers are preparing for and to thank the event sponsors. During this private event, participants from both the Pageant & Shrimp Eating Championship are presented and given the opportunity to introduce themselves to Lions, sponsors and attending family members. This is a judging event for princesses for the category of ‘Formal Wear.’ Attendees are served dinner and drinks, the highlight being a sampling of the Pink Gold Gulf Shrimp that thousands will flock to consume over the Shrimp Festival weekend.
