Shrimp Festival Parade Application

The Fort Myers Beach Lions Club is extending this invitation to participate in the event. The annual Shrimp Festival Parade will be held on Saturday of the SECOND full weekend in March. Please fill out & submit the form below. Upon completion, you will be taken to the next page with further instructions & payment options.

Trophies will be awarded for each of the categories listed below:
Business and Professional: 1st & 2nd Place
Civic Groups and Association: 1st & 2nd Place
Non-Business, Family & Individuals: 1st & 2nd Place
Youth Groups: 1st Place
Decorated Car: 1st Place
Decorated Truck: 1st Place
Decorated Boat: 1st   Place
Marching Unit (musical): 1st Place
Marching Unit (non-musical): 1st Place

The Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Festival parade is approximately 2-miles long and runs down the main street of town on Estero Blvd from the Beach Elementary school (parade loading zone)

Do you agree to not throw ANY beads per the Town of Fort Myers Beach? CANDY IS PERMITTED.
The Matanzass Pass Bridge closes at 9AM! You will not be in the parade if you are not across before it closes. Traffic builds up EARLY.
Do you understand the parade staging area is located behind the Beach Library and that you must enter the staging area at School Street to check-in & receive your assigned staging number?
Do you understand that the parade route is approximately 1.25 miles in length, starting at School Street and proceeding north on Estero Boulevard to the Matanzas Pass Bridge.
Do you agree to pay the $45 entry donation? The parade application donations help defer the costs of permitting, police, trophies and parade staging facilities. Payment instructions will be provided once the application is submitted.
